Toughest opponent: I don’t think there’s specifically one. (Maryland guard) Lexi Brown was tough. In international basketball (Angela) Salvadores for Spain was a hard one to guard and France had a good point guard (Alix Duchet). She was just so quick.
Super power I’d like to have: Flying.
High point of the season: The game that stuck out to me was when we played Jonesboro. The atmosphere was crazy. It was a great game, even though we won by 10 or 15.
Biggest disappointment: Not winning state.
Favorite book: Heart Over Height by Nate Robinson.
Favorite teacher: Miss Hoyera at Holly Springs Elementary (in Canton, Ga.). She taught me in the fourth and fifth grade. I was so close to her, it was hard to go off to middle school.
Hidden talent: I can’t sing, I can’t draw. I like to do crosswords.
First car: It was my mom’s car, a Honda Accord.
Inspiration: My brother, T.J. Because it was two yeas ago my sophomore year, he got sick. He had to have brain surgery. He was in the hospital for two weeks. It was one of the most difficult times in my life. Just seeing him in the hospital bed, in a whole lot of pain. We had a game the same day he had brain surgery. I remember we played Buford in the quarters. He had to stay home because he was so sick. I went out there and I tried to play for him. It was very emotional for him. He’s doing a whole lot better.
Favorite Musician: Nicki Minaj.
Coach always says: Two things: ‘You play the first half to get to the second half’ and ‘It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.’
Last movie I cried while watching: 1000 To 1: The Cory Weissman Story. I saw it last month on Netflix.
