USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the ALL-USA Girls Wrestling Team for the 2018-19 season, selected in coordination with Earl Smith of TheOpenMat.com based on past performance, level of competition and strength of schedule.

WRESTLER OF THE YEAR: Macey Kilty, River Falls

HONORABLE MENTION: ALL-USA Girls Wrestling

School: Mounds View (Arden Hills, Minn.) Weight: 100 lbs Class: 2019 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: Shilson is five-for-five winning five national championships in five opportunities at the Cadet and Junior National Championships. She also has two Cadet world medals to her credit a silver in 2017 and a gold in 2018. Last summer Shilson became the first American wrestler to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games. School: Miami East (Casstown, Ohio) Weight: 106 lbs Class: 2021 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: In Ohio, a state that does not yet sanction a girls state tournament, Olivia Shore became the first girl to win a match at the state meet. School: Arbor View (Las Vegas, Nev.) Weight: 112 lbs Class: 2019 College: Life University Noteworthy: Prussin recently captured her first Junior National Folkstyle title, which was an improvement on her second-place finish from 2018. Also in 2018, Prussin made the Junior National Freestyle finals for the first time and also placed fourth at the Junior World Team Trials. Photo: Christina Alejandro

School: Wyoming Seminary (Kingston, Pa.) Weight: 117 lbs Class: 2019 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: The Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic selected Vayle Rae Baker to participate in their Pennsylvania vs the nation All-Star event making her the first girl chosen for the prestigious event. At that meet, she picked up a win over her opponent from Wisconsin. Baker is a three-time Cadet/Junior National Champion and a Cadet world team member. Photo: Riley Green

School: Gervais (Ore.) Weight: 122 lbs Class: 2021 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: After cruising her way to a Cadet National Freestyle title last summer in Fargo, Alexys Zepeda wrestled up an age group and won the Junior tournament without surrendering a single point. Not only is she a girls state champion, Alexys’ third-place finish at the boys state meet is the highest for a girl in state history. Photo: Anna Reed/Statesman Journal

School: Klein (Texas) Weight: 127 lbs Class: 2021 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: A perfect 49-0 senior season helped Xochitl Mota-Pettis capture her second Texas state title. Last summer at the National Duals, Mota-Pettis went a perfect 8-0 and did not have a match that went the distance. School: Rowland (Rowland Heights, Calif.) Weight: 132 lbs Class: 2021 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: After two years of high school wrestling, Cheyenne Bowman finished both of her seasons with state titles in the, always-difficult, California State Championships. Her closest match at the state meet was a ten-point victory. Cheyenne was able to pin her other four opponents, including one in the championship match. Photo: Chris Mora Photography

School: Yorktown (Ind.) Weight: 138 lbs Class: 2019 College: McKendree Noteworthy: Boyd has made the Cadet world team on two occasions and both times she came back with a medal, a bronze in 2016 and a silver in 2017. School: Mosinee (Wis.) Weight: 144 lbs Class: 2019 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: Kiana Pugh got plenty of international experience last summer. First she went to Guatemala and won a bronze medal at the Cadet Pan-American Championships and later she was a member of the Cadet World Team that competed in Zagreb, Croatia. Weight: 152 lbs Class: 2019 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: After winning a Cadet World Championship last year, Kilty went up an age group to wrestle at the Junior World Championships where she made the finals and came home with a silver medal. School: Douglas County (Castle Rock, Colo.) Weight: 164 lbs Class: 2020 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: Though only a rising junior at the time, Tristan Kelly was able to win both a Cadet and Junior National title last year in Fargo. School: Junction City (Kan.) Weight: 180 lbs Class: 2020 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: Robinson recently won a National Folkstyle title by downing one of the nation’s top seniors in the finals. In 2018, at Fargo, Robinson placed third in Junior Freestyle after losing her first match then battling back through the consolation bracket with six straight wins.
