Andrayah Adams, a senior guard for the St. Paul Como Park (Minn.) girl’s basketball team, was dominant in a 91-89 win over Minneapolis Southwest. Adams scored 43 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the win.

For her efforts, Adams leads the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week.

The rest of the top performances as high school sports continue around the nation:

Tyler Marquardt, boy’s basketball, Peshtigo (Wisconsin).

Marquardt showed up when it mattered most, helping his team defeat Crivitz 76-40 to claim the outright M&O Conference title. Marquardt scored 33 points and had eight rebounds in the victory.

Joshua Moisand, boy’s lacrosse, Holy Trinity (Florida).

Moisand helped Holy Trinity win three games last week, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists.

Grant House, boy’s swimming, St. Xavier (Ohio).

House, a junior swimmer, had a fantastic performance at the State swim meet, winning the individual title in the 200 and 500 freestyle race. House also took part in the 200 medley relay, a relay that set a new Ohio state record.

Marely Garcia, girl’s basketball, Holtville (California).

Garcia, a senior, is averaging 12.7 points per game this season and doubled that total with 24 in a Division IV playoff win against Palo Verde Valley.

Nikolas Weatherspoon, boy’s basketball, Velma Jackson (Mississippi).

Weatherspoon was dynamic in a 60-51 second round win over MHSAA 3A Playoffs. The junior point guard scored 40 points in the win.

“He’s big for us,” Velma Jackson head coach Anthony Carlyle told the Jackson-Clarion Ledger. “I thought he’d be the best player in the state. A lot of people said I was going out on a limb, but I knew what he was capable of.”

Jenny Christian, girl’s basketball, Faith Academy (California).

The 5’10 senior center helped lead her team to two wins last week, scoring 20 and 25 points respectively in the process. Faith Academy went on a tear in February, winning 10 straight games.

Charles Jones, boy’s basketball, David Douglas (Oregon).

David Douglas beat North Medford 52-47, and Jones produced nearly half of his team’s offensive production. Jones, a senior guard, scored 25 points in the win.

Kelly Brown III, girl’s track and field, Wilson (New York).

Brown, a senior runner, finished second in the 55 meter dash and 55 meter hurdles in the State Qualifier meet last year. She made sure that wouldn’t happen again, winning both events this year with times of 6.45 seconds and 7.41 respectively.

Gannen Braddock, boy’s basketball, Texline (Texas).

Braddock, a sophomore point guard, scored 44 points in a 71-55 playoff victory over Valley.
