USA TODAY Sports revealed its 2016 men’s college basketball All-America teams Monday, and three of the 15 players selected were American Family Insurance ALL-USA picks during their high school careers.
- Tyler Ulis. The Kentucky sophomore guard averaged 16.6 points and 7.4 assists per game and has been the best player in the Southeastern Conference. Ulis was named to the ALL-USA third team in 2014 at Marian Catholic in Chicago Heights, Ill.
- Perry Ellis. The Kansas senior forward was named second-team All-America. He was twice chosen to the ALL-USA teams while at Wichita Heights High in Kansas. He was named to the second team in both 2011 and 2012.
- Ben Simmons. The Australian phenom at LSU was the only freshman selected to the All-America team, named to the third team. He is less than year removed from being named the ALL-USA Player of the Year for Super 25 champion Montverde Academy in Florida.
