Scott Allen coached the girls basketball team at Paul VI (Fairfax, Va). to a 33-1 record, its 10th consecutive Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association title and third consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title.
Allen was named the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Girls Basketball Coach of the Year and received his trophy during a presentation at the school Wednesday.

“Winning championships are great, but the joy and care that you see on the players’ faces for each other, at the end of the season, was the highlight,” he said. “They loved being around each other and they loved playing together and they didn’t care who got the credit.”
