LSU commit Myles Brennan, named to the American Family Insurance Preseason ALL-USA Football Team this week, opened his season with a stellar effort.
The senior at St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) threw for 428 yards and five touchdowns to lead his team to a 34-10 victory against Biloxi in the Shrimp Bowl.
Brennan was 33 for 44 and his TD passes went for 11, 12, 3, 5 and 7 yards, with three going to Corlin Blanchard. He had 11 catches for 122 yards.
“It was an amazing performance all the way around,’’ Brennan told the Biloxi Sun Herald. “It was not a one-man show by any means. Defense, offense — I thought we played one heck of a game. It was a great way to come out and start the season.
“I love to do that (spread it around). I don’t have any favorite receiver. I go through my reads, and I throw to the open guy.’’
