Sage Surratt, a member of the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Preseason Football Team, had more options than most.
An all-state selection as a wide receiver and shooting guard, Surratt said Saturday that he intends to play football in college and narrowed his list to North Carolina, Harvard, Yale, South Carolina and Indiana, according to The Charlotte Observer.

Surratt played for East Lincoln last year and has transferred to Lincolnton for his senior year.
“I think football is just the best option for me,” Surratt told The Observer. “I will play football and basketball would be optional for me.”
The numbers don’t life when it comes to his ability in either sport. He has 253 receptions for 3,9688 yards and 56 receiving touchdowns — all among the top five in state history. In basketball, he averaged 31.2 points and is among the top 40 career scorers in state public school history.
Surratt took in North Carolina’s loss to Georgia on Saturday. His older brother is a freshman QB for the Tar Heels.
