A performance of 206 yards on 26 carries and three touchdowns is an outstanding achievement for a running back.

Except Mikel Collins of Brantley County (Ga.) is a quarterback and he added 289 passing yards and five touchdowns on an efficient 15-for-21 performance.

That’s eight touchdowns on 493 yards of total offense to lead Brantley to a 59-45 victory against Appling, Brantley’s first win against its rival since 2006.

Collins provided the spark the Brantley offense needed to win in the shootout.

His sensational game leads the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week.

Below are the rest of the top performances as fall sports continue around the nation:

C.J. Ackles, football, Mount Zion (Georgia)

Ackles, a wide receiver for Mount Zion, was everywhere. He ran a kickoff back 90 yards for a touchdown, threw a 39-yard pass, had 139 yards receiving on five catches, intercepted two passes and even did the job on punt duties (pinning Trion to the 2-yard line).

Mia Harris, girls cross country, West Plains (Missouri)

The freshman showed off her potential in the 5k race at the Class 4 District 5 championship in Nixa last Saturday.  Harris won with a time of 19:06:40, 10 seconds ahead of her teammate and second-place finisher Kaylee Hatley. (Fun facts: West Plains’ nickname is the Zizzers.)

Sunny Lehman, girls soccer, Evansville Mater Dei (Indiana).

Lehman was the difference in a 4-2 win against Vincennes Rivet last Saturday as she scored two goals.  She has 21 goals and 11 assists this season.

Isaiah Robinson, football, Washington (Pennsylvania).

It’s hard to believe, but Robinson had 244 yards from scrimmage at the half… on just four touches.  He averaged 46 yards per touch.  The running back finished with 277 yards on six touches and two touchdowns in the 41-6 win over Burgettstown.

Bailey Waitkus, girls soccer, Whetstone (Ohio)

Whetstone won its fifth consequtive city championship last Saturday and Waitkus played an instrumental role in the win, as she assisted a goal and scored the game-winnner in a 2-1 victory.  The midfielder was dominant in a win over Cristo Rey last week as well. She scored four goals and had an assist in the 8-0 win.

Taylor Bridge, football, Willamette (Oregon).

Bridge was efficient in a 48-27 win over Roseburg as the quarterback threw for 432 yards and five touchdowns.

Madison Lilly, girls volleyball, Blue Valley West (Kansas).

Blue Valley West is a perfect 39-0 heading into the Kansas Class 6A state tournament and Lilly  — an ALL-USA Preseason Girls Volleyball selection — has been a key contributor this season.  The setter 56 assists, 11 digs, five kills, five aces and five blocks over three matches last week.

Hunter Rummler, football, White Pigeon (Michigan).

There have been some incredible football performances this week, and the show Rummler put on is one of the more impressive ones.  The senior running back/linebacker ran for 258 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries.  He was just as good on defense as he had 10 tackles and a sack in a 42-6 win over Colon.

Darian Ogunjemilusi, football, Wolsey-Wessington (South Dakota).

Ogunjemilusi played the role of the workhorse running back with 34 carries for 267 yards and two touchdowns last week.
