Austin Upshaw, a senior quarterback at La Porte (Texas), was sensational in a 63-49 playoff win over Channelview. The Memphis-bound star threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Upshaw was even more impressive on the ground, rushing for 332 yards and four touchdowns. If you’re keeping score at home, that’s an astounding 597 yards from scrimmage.
Upshaw’s dominance as a dual-threat quarterback leads the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week.
The rest of the performances of the week as fall sports continue across the country:

Davis carried the ball 37 times for 370 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a 37-16 win last week.

Frank Boyd, football, Manchester (Va.)
Manchester, a 6A school, is looking to advance to the state tournament. The Lancers won their first game of the playoffs last week 21-14 against Cosby, and they would have found it difficult to do so without their star running back. Withers has already won state titles in the 800, 1600, 3200 and 4×400 relay, and she continued that dominance in the fall with a state title in the state cross country meet. Withers won the competition with a time of 19:37.6.
