Stacy Payton, a senior guard for Northview (Brazil, Ind.) passed the 1,000 points mark in her career with three exceptional performances last week. Northview went 2-1, and Payton had 77 points combined. In a win against West Vigo on Friday, Payton scored 25 points and pulled down 15 rebounds.

Payton’s scoring run leads the ALL-USA Performances of the Week this week.

The rest of the performances of the week as fall sports wrap up and winter sports begin around the nation:

Alex Barcello, Corona del Sol (Ariz.)

Barcello was sensational over the course of three games last week. The senior point guard scored 97 points, pulled down 20 rebounds and dished out 15 assists in the three Corona del Sol (Tempe) wins. His best outing came in a tense 90-89 win over Laveen Cesar Chavez high school. Barcello had 37 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Sania Wells, girls basketball, East Central (Miss.)

The promising sophomore had 65 points and 12 rebounds in two wins last week. Wells is averaging 25 points per game and Southern Miss and Mississippi State are two schools who have expressed interest so far.

Jack Aesoph, boys basketball, Faulkton (S.D.)

Basketball is one of those unique sports where if your game is well-rounded, it’ll show up on the stat sheet. Aesoph certainly proved that to be true with a near quadruple-double against Sunshine Bible Academy. The senior had 17 points, 14 rebounds, nine steals and seven assists and shot 58% from the field.

Cassidy Arnold, girls basketball, Eastern York (Pa.)

Eastern York won the Spring Grove Tip-Off Tournament and they would have found it difficult to accomplish that feat without Arnold, the tournament MVP. She scored 19 points in the final.

Tyler Keller, boys soccer, Melbourne Central Catholic (Fla.)

Keller accounted for all five MCC goals in a 5-2 win over Astronaut. Keller scored four and had an assist.

Mandy Simpson, girls basketball, Boise (Id.)

The Braves are 8-0 and defeated a tough, two-time defending state champion in Mountain View. Simpson, a senior Oklahoma commit, proved to be the difference in the 43-36 win. She scored 26 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Michael Purcell, football, The Woodlands (Texas)

There haven’t been many performances from defensive players on this column this fall and it was about time a defensive end showed up on the list. Purcell was all over the field and a key player in the Woodlands 36-28 win against Allen. The defensive end had three sacks, three tackles for loss and a pass breakup.

“Michael spearheaded our defensive front and put pressure on the quarterback. At the end of the game, he was completely spent,” head coach Mark Schmid told the Houston Chronicle. “There was not an ounce of energy left in him. He left it all on the field, and that’s what you want out of your captains and big-time players.”

Kameron Haley, girls basketball, St. Philip (Mich.)

Haley had 20 points and eight rebounds in an impressive 59-9 win over Litchfield.

Amy Fromme, girls swim and dive, Rocky Mountain (Colo.)

In a dual win over Boulder, Fromme won the 200 and 100 free events. She was also a member of four relay wins in the Legacy Lightning Relays. Fromme won her first eight events of the season.
