2016-17 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Boys Soccer Teams

The 2016-17 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Boys Soccer Teams were selected based on performance, level of competition and strength of schedule. Players from states that play fall, winter or spring soccer were eligible for selection.

New Jersey leads the selections with four picks, followed by Connecticut, Illinois and Pennsylvania with three. California, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts and Virginia all have two, while Kentucky has only one honoree, but it’s Louisville (Ky.) Collegiate forward Haji Abdikadir, the AFI ALL-USA Player of the Year. Colorado, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas also have one pick apiece.

Position: Defender Year: Junior Height: 5-10 College: Uncommitted Noteworthy: Baca was the center back for a Dodge City defense that allowed just nine goals during a perfect 21-0 season. Position: Forward Year: Senior Height: 6-3 College: Farleigh Dickinson Noteworthy: After spending 18 months training in Spain, the Netherlands and Hungary, Labovitz returned stateside for his senior season and scored 46 goals, leading the Saxons (19-1-2) to the Virginia Group 6A state championship. Position: Midfielder Year: Senior Height: 5-7 College: Naval Academy Noteworthy: Millard scored nine goals in three postseason games for the Cardinals (18-1-1), who won the South Carolina Independent Schools Division I state title. Position: Goalkeeper Year: Senior Height: 6-4 College: Monmouth Noteworthy: Murray was immense for the Raiders (22-3), notching 15 shutouts and recording 55 saves as the team reached the New Jersey Group 4 state title game. School: Hotchkiss School (Lakeville, Conn.) Position: Midfielder Year: Senior Height: 5-9 College: Michigan Noteworthy: The Gatorade National Player of the Year, Osman was pretty much the entire offense for Hotchkiss. Position: Defender Year: Senior Height: 6-0 College: Michigan Noteworthy: Pirie was named the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year after leading a Broncos defense that notched 15 shutouts and reached the Illinois Class 3A state title game.
