USA TODAY High School Sports presents the 2016-17 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Girls Lacrosse Team. The team and honorees were selected by Casey Vock of 3dRising.com based on performance, level of play and strength of schedule.

Note: Only players from U.S.-based schools are eligible for the ALL-USA team and Player of the Year consideration.

Position: Attack School: Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child (Summit, N.J.) Class: Senior College: Stanford Noteworthy: Baiocco, who was knocked out of action by an injury last season, returned to form this season with 104 goals, 31 assists and 65 groundballs. She helped lead the Royals to the Tournament of Champions finale and a 21-5 record as the only team to defeat eventual champ Bridgewater-Raritan. Photo: Baiocco Family

Position: Attack School: St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School (Alexandria, Va.) Class: Senior College: Penn Noteworthy: Belodeau put together another monstrous season, totaling a ridiculous 114 goals and 55 assists as St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes faced a who’s-who of nationally recognized programs. Position: Attack School: Lynbrook (N.Y.) Class: Senior College: Syracuse Noteworthy: Carter led Long Island in both goals and assists, racking up an eye-popping 109 goals and 63 assists in guiding Lynbrook to a 15-3 record. She used her incredible quickness and relentless dodging to be a threat anytime she touched the ball and proved herself as one of the nation’s most talented scorers. Photo: Lynbrook

Position: Attack School: McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) Class: Junior College: Maryland Noteworthy: Hoffman was a leading offensive talent for the high-flying Eagles this season, scoring a team-best 55 goals and 76 points. Position: Attack School: McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) Class: Senior College: Maryland Noteworthy: May was the leader of the McDonogh offense, triggering a group that scored more than 16 goals per game against arguably the nation’s most difficult schedule. Position: Attack School: Middle Country Central School District (Centereach, N.Y.) Class: Senior College: North Carolina Noteworthy: Ortega was the leading scorer in all of Suffolk County, amassing 98 goals and 45 assists as the Wolverines reached the state championship and fell by just one goal. Ortega’s 588 career points set a new milestone for the entire state of New York, breaking a record previously held by Shannon Gilroy. Photo: Ortega Family

Class: Senior College: Princeton Noteworthy: Sears returned from injury right at the start of the season and still managed to piece together a dominant campaign with 65 goals and 37 assists. Position: Midfield School: McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) Class: Senior College: Notre Dame Noteworthy: One of the most heralded players in scholastic lacrosse, Aldave has been a rock for the Eagles since her freshman season and this year was no different as she contributed 31 goals, a team-high 27 assists and 22 caused turnovers. Position: Midfield School: Ridgewood (N.J.) Class: Senior College: Boston College Noteworthy: Cermack was productive and balanced for a powerful Ridgewood offense this season, totaling 47 goals and 44 assists and adding 41 groundballs. Position: Midfield School: St. Mary’s (Annapolis, Md.) Class: Senior College: Johns Hopkins Noteworthy: An athletic and dynamic player who makes a difference on both ends of the field, Harrison led the Saints with 45 goals this season despite constant defensive pressure in the nation’s toughest league. Position: Midfield School: McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) Class: Junior College: Duke Noteworthy: Jenner was an absolute force on draw controls for the undefeated McDonogh Eagles dynasty. The 6-foot-2 inch athlete can own the middle of the field and did that on her way to winning 165 draw controls and adding 40 goals and four assists on the year. Position: Midfield School: Bridgewater-Raritan (Bridgewater Township, N.J.) Class: Senior College: North Carolina Noteworthy: A determined, hard-working leader for the Panthers, Mastroianni registered 72 goals and 35 assists in a season to remember. Position: Defense School: McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) Class: Senior College: Princeton Noteworthy: Donovan was a key leader and defender for the undefeated, IAAC A Conference champion Eagles. Class: Senior College: Dartmouth Noteworthy: Ricciardi was regarded as the best defender on a Ridgewood defense that allowed only 5.36 goals per game facing a list of the best teams in New Jersey.
