Preseason ALL-USA Girls Lacrosse: Second Team

The American Family Insurance ALL-USA Preseason Girls Lacrosse Teams were selected by Casey Vock of 3d Rising. Players were evaluated based on on-field accomplishments during the high school season, statistics and level of competition

Position: Attack School: Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child (Summit, N.J.) Year: Junior College: Stanford Baiocco was instrumental in Oak Knoll’s breakout season in 2015, racking up an impressive 101 goals and 28 assists as a sophomore – a year after putting up 74 points as a freshman. Her play helped the Royals make history with their first New Jersey Tournament of Champions title, as Baiocco led the way with a six-goal, one-assist performance, including the game-winner. Position: Attack School: Charlotte Country Day School (N.C.) Year: Senior College: North Carolina Harrison led Charlotte Country Day to its third consecutive North Carolina Independent Schools championship last spring, notching four goals and two assists in the title game. Position: Attack School: Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, Va.) Year: Senior College: Navy As a junior, Larkin notched 68 goals and 32 assists, including some clutch performances against elite competition, to put together an excellent season for the Cardinals. Larkin is expected to be a key performer and leader for Bishop Ireton again this season as the team hunts another VISAA Division I championship and takes on a brutal schedule. Photo: Brian Kapur

Position: Attack School: Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) Year: Junior College: North Carolina Considered one of the top juniors in the country, McDaniels proved herself as just a sophomore for the powerful Our Lady of Good Counsel team that finished the season second in the final Super 25 rankings of 2015. McDaniels closed out the year by putting up four goals in the Falcons’ thrilling 9-8 WCAC title win over Academy of the Holy Cross. Photo: Kimberly Welch

Position: Attack School: Summit (N.J.) Year: Senior College: Northwestern Now entering her fourth varsity season, Szynal has been a major point producer for Summit in her time there, coming off an 86-goal, 21-assist performance in 2015. Syznal’s production was an important driver for Summit’s success last year – an appearance in the New Jersey Tournament of Championship finale – and it will be again this year. Photo: Rosalie Szynal

Position: Midfield School: Notre Dame Academy (Hingham, Mass.) Year: Senior College: North Carolina Allard is a gifted playmaker who has helped Notre Dame Academy to two consecutive Division I South runner-up finishes. She returns for her final run with the Cougars after putting up 86 goals and 32 assists in 2015. Photo: Allard family

Position: Midfield School: Manchester Valley (Md.) Year: Senior College: Maryland Colson led Manchester Valley to an unscathed 19-0 record in 2015 and a repeat of the Maryland 2A-1A championship, scoring five goals in the title win. Colson has been a star for Manchester Valley in her career and has helped the Mavericks win 37 of its previous 38 games. Photo: Shelly Brezicki

Position: Midfield School: St. Mark’s School (Southborough, Mass.) Year: Senior College: Princeton Now owning most of the school’s individual lacrosse records, D’Orsi led the way last season for St. Mark’s as the team’s leading scorer en route to the Independent School Title. D’Orsi followed up her terrific junior season with a strong showing at the FIL U19 Women’s World Lacrosse Championships, helping the U.S. team win the silver medal. Position: Midfield School: Victor (N.Y.) Year: Senior College: Syracuse Hawryschuk was dominant last season at Churchville-Chili with 75 goals, 27 assists, 88 draw controls and 52 groundballs. Now attending Victor, she made a strong case at the tryouts for the U.S. women’s U19, reaching the final rounds along with some of the most elite players in the nation. Photo: Melissa Hawryschuk

Position: Midfield School: West Islip (N.Y.) Year: Senior College: Syracuse Costantino was a leading initiator and scoring threat from the midfield for the Lions as they won the 2015 New York State Class A title. The future Orange midfielder racked up 45 goals and 38 assists as a junior and is considered one of Long Island’s best. Photo: Ed Bell

Position: Defense School: McDonogh School (Owings Mills, Md.) Year: Junior College: Notre Dame A force on the backend for Chris Robinson’s dynasty, Aldave is a multi-sport athlete who comes from a family of lacrosse-playing sisters. After helping McDonogh keep its opponents to less than eight goals per game in 2015, she was selected to represent the country as a member of the U.S. women’s U19 team. Photo: Don Holting

Position: Defense School: Suffern (N.Y.) Year: Senior College: UConn Conklin is described by her coaches as “tough as nails,” and she was instrumental in the Mounties’ run to the state runner-up finish last season. Position: Defense School: Georgetown Visitation Preparatory (Washington, D.C.) Year: Senior College: Virginia A standout defender, Martin helped keep Georgetown Visitation’s grueling lists of opponents to below ten goals per game, on average, last season. She has become more offensively oriented in the last couple years, making her that much more dynamic on the field. Photo: Martin family

Position: Defense School: Catonsville (Md.) Year: Senior College: Syracuse Nazarian is considered one of the toughest defenders in the nation. A multi-sport athlete, she is fast and aggressive and her tenacious play helps fuel a fast tempo for the Comets. Photo: Doug Nazarian

Position: Goalie School: St. Anthony’s (Huntington Station, N.Y.) Year: Senior College: Virginia Campbell is widely considered one of the best high school goalies in the country, with a reputation on Long Island for stifling skilled opponents.
