Haley Cashwell, a junior shortstop for Cape Fear (N.C.), broke the North Carolina High School Association softball record for longest hitting streak last week, as she extended her own to a remarkable 35 games. She also holds a state record of 22 consecutive at bats with a hit, set in 2014.
In two games last week, Cashwell went 5-for-8 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs scored, and she leadsthe American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week.

Cole Hamilton, baseball, North Salem (Oregon)
Hamilton, a senior catcher, was a force to be reckoned with as he went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and six RBI as North Salem defeated Milwaukie (Ore.) Wednesday, 15-0.
Lizzie Odegard, girls basketball, Minnetonka (Minnesota)
Odegard was a force in the paint at the right time, as she helped Minnetonka defeat Hopkins 61-52 in the Class 4A State Championship game. Odegard scored 17 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in the win.
Lane Kennedy, baseball, Enterprise-Clark (Mississippi)
Kennedy led Enterprise-Clark to an 11-8 win over Southeast Lauderdale (Miss.), going 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, grand slam and six RBI.
“We were down 1-0 in the second game of a double-header,” coach John Welch told the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. “It was a big situation and he stayed through it, squared it up and hit a grand slam.”
Thomas Robillard, boys track and field, Fort Collins (Colorado)
Robillard won two hurdles events at the Runners Roost Invitational. He posted a time of 14.84 seconds at the 100-meter hurdles, following that up with a 300-meter hurdles win, posting a time of 40.57 seconds.
Cole Fossat, baseball, Carbon (Utah)
The Dinos defeated Union (Utah) 12-5 and Fossat’s two homers gave Carbon a significant boost in seeing out the win. He finished with four hits in five at-bats, with two homeruns, a double and three RBI.
Sammy Ruiz, softball, Mountlake Terrace (Washington)
Ruiz was consistent in three games last week, driving in nine runs and reaching base eight times in nine at-bats. In a win over Kamiack (Wash.), she went 4-for-4 at the plate with four runs scored, five RBI, three homers and a double.
Ethan Leary, boys lacrosse, Holy Trinity (Florida)
Leary was dominant in two games before spring break, helping Holy Trinity defeat Edgewood (Fla.) 13-6. He scored four goals in that win, and followed that performance with two goals and three assists in a 15-2 win over West Shore (Fla.).
Cassie Schiltz, softball, Luxemburg-Casco (Wisconsin)
Schiltz, a freshman, shut down her opponent in her debut as Luxemburg-Casco defeated Valders (Wis.) 15-0. Schiltz pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out 12 batters.
Vinny Fillipone, baseball, Junior Reed (Nevada)
Fillipone provided the spark Junior Reed needed as they eventually cruised to an 18-7 victory over Wooster on Saturday. He had five RBI in the victory.
Zach Bushling, baseball, Kern Valley (California)
Bushling, a three-sport athlete, was dominant at the plate last week. The junior went 9-for-10 with three homers. He also had 13 RBI and scored six runs.
