Name: Sabrina Ionescu
School: Miramonte, Orinda, Calif.
Position: Guard
Height: 5-10
College: Undecided
Details: Uncommitted senior led team to state Open Division championship game, averaging averaged 25.3 points, 8.8 assists, 7.6 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 1.3 blocks. Her twin brother, Eddy, played for Miramonte’s boys team and has committed to Oregon.
Favorite teacher: I like them all in their own unique ways. My favorite teacher is Mr. Nader Jazayeri for psychology.
Basketball influences: My brothers growing up and my teammates as I got older.
Should college athletes be political: I don’t think they should act differently to the public just because of the school they are attending. They should have their own beliefs like normal people in society.
First car I drove: A Chevy Tahoe, my dad’s.
Dream car and color: Can I have two? Because I’m pretty tied to two. I think it would be a Ford Raptor, black, and a (BMW) M4, white, with black rims. I’m really into cars.
Second-favorite sport: Football. I like the Broncos. Peyton Manning is one of my favorite athletes.
People say I look like: Jennifer Garner.
Hidden talent: I’m ambidextrous, if that’s a hidden talent.
Favorite recent read: “The Firm” by John Grisham.
