The 2015-16 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Girls Basketball Teams were selected by USA TODAY Sports’ Jim Halley in consultation with high school coaches and recruiting experts.

FIRST TEAM:

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Sabrina Ionescu, Miramonte (Orinda, Calif.)

Erin Boley, Elizabethtown (Ky.)

Lauren Cox, Flower Mound (Texas)

Jackie Young, Princeton (Ind.)

PLAYER PROFILE:

Name: Crystal Dangerfield
School: Blackman (Murfreesboro, Tenn.)
Position: Guard
Height: 5-6
College: Connecticut

Details: Two-time state Player of the Year averaged 23.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game this past season, leading Blackman to a 27-4 record.

Second-best athlete in the family: Right now, my older sister (Brooke). She played volleyball in high school and basketball in middle school.

First car I drove: My mom’s Nissan Murano.

Season highlight: Winning the district tournament. There were people that said we would be fourth in the district but we wound up winning the regular season and the district too.

Dream car: Red for sure and a Maserati

Favorite musician: Chris Brown

Hidden talent: I can play the piano and drums.

Favorite teachers: Probably at Blackman, Mrs. (Courtney) Gregory and Mrs. (Kim) Baumann. They’re teachers, but they’re also my friends. I can talk to them about anything.

Second-favorite sport: Track. I feel like if I didn’t play basketball, I would run the 100 and 200 (meters) and probably relays.

People confuse me with: I can’t get away from Moriah Jefferson. She’s taller than I am.

Biggest deal on my phone: Coach (Geno) Auriemma.
