Katie Born, a senior pitcher for Shawnee Mission Northwest (Kansas) wasn’t content with just one perfect game against SM North last week.  She managed to throw two perfect games on the same day, as Shawnee Mission had a doubleheader against SM North.  Born retired all 30 batters she faced and struck out 11.

Born’s dominance in the circle leads the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week.

The rest of the performances of the week as spring sports continue around the country:

Madison Lindsey, softball, Kingwood (Texas)

Lindsey, a sophomore who has already committed to Baylor, was outstanding as she nabbed two complete-game wins last week against Cedar Ridge. The sophomore pitcher struck out 28 batters in 17 innings pitched and her performance helped Kingwood advance to the regional quarterfinals.

Wes Moshier, boys lacrosse, Millburn (New Jersey)

Moshier, a senior goalie, was a tough nut to crack in Miller’s 5-1 win against third-seeded Mount Olive High School in the quarterfinals of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Group 3 tournament.  The senior goaltender stopped 14 of 15 shots he faced.

Zea Macris, softball, Lyndon Institute (Vermont)
