The American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week return to USA TODAY High School Sports for the 2016-17 academic year and there already have been quite a few standout performances over the last few weeks.
Allendale (Mich.) put up 70 points last week for the first time since 1975 and its senior quarterback, Colton Kloote, played a huge role in the win.
The dual-threat QB completed 14-of-22 passes for 222 yards and five passing touchdowns. He was equally effective on the ground, carrying the ball 15 times for 167 yards. Kloote will be a force in Michigan this season.
For his efforts, he leads the first American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week for the fall season.

Tariq Reid, football, Davison (Mich.)

Reid, another athlete from Michigan, is a close second on this list with a phenomenal performance. Davison beat Mt. Pleasant, 49-14, and they dominated on the ground thanks to Reid. The running back rushed for 308 yards on 19 carries (that averages out to 16.2 yards per carry). He had four touchdown runs of more than 40 yards.
Nathaniel Holcomb, football, Puyallup (Wash.)
Holcomb was special in a commanding 49-24 opening win over Curtis. The quarterback threw for 427 yards and six touchdowns.
Melissa McNeil, girls volleyball, Clear Creek (Texas)
McNeil reached 1,500 kills for her career. She showed why she has been as consistent through her high school career as she put up another brilliant performance in a CCISD tournament last week. While Clear Creek ended up finishing second, McNeil earned All-Tournament honors for her 90 total kills.
Dawson Podlena, boys track and field, Seaman (Kan.)
Podlena won the Manhattan Cross Country Invitational last week with a time of 16:25. The senior beat the rest of the field by a whopping 12 seconds. Podlena is a standout three-sport athlete and competes in wrestling during the fall season, as well.
Emma Gromacki, field hockey, John Carroll (Md.)
Gromacki, a goalie, proved to be the difference in two wins against ranked opponents last week for the two-time defending state IAAM B Conference champions. The senior stopped 26 total shots in a 2-1 win and 5-1 victory.
Trey Lowe, football, Jesuit (Ore.)
Lowe was a force on the ground as he ran for 249 yards and six touchdowns. Jesuit ended up beating Tualatin 48-24—not a bad way to open a 6A title defense!
Ella Davis, girls soccer, Danville (Ind.)
Davis was sensational in the month of August, scoring seven goals and tallying six assists in wins over Covenant Christian and North Montgomery.
Jaxon Peck, football, Skyridge (Utah)
Peck put together an outstanding individual performance on defense against Springville, as he recorded 10 tackles and an interception.
Baileigh Fagan, softball, Park Place (Miss.)
Fagan helped her travel team win a world-series last year and her form has carried over into the new school year. She went 7-for-11 with two triples, five RBI and four runs scored as Park Place went 2-1.
