Georgia football commit Jake Fromm seems to have the state single-season passing record in his sights.

Fromm from Houston County (Warner Robbins, Ga.) is on pace to hit 5,000 yards by the 12th game of the season. While Georgia schools only play 10 regular season games, Houston County seems on its way to the postseason with a 5-0 start.

The GHSA single-season record of 4,506 was set in 2010 by Hutson Mason of Lassiter High in Marietta. He went on to play for Georgia. The state career record is 13,077 by current Clemson QB Deshaun Watson when he was at Gainesville.

Fromm passed 11,000 yards for his career Thursday night when he threw for 394 yards and six touchdowns in a 63-28 victory against Warner Robins.  He also ran for a TD and had 63 yards on the ground. He had more than 300 yards and five of the six touchdowns with five minutes left in the first half.

He has 25 passing TDs on the season.

Fromm is ranked as the No. 4 pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2017 by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
