Michael Porter Jr., the No. 1 or No. 2 player in the Class of 2017, has moved to Washington state after his father was named an assistant coach on the University of Washington coaching staff.
Porter, a 6-11 small forward, will play for Nathan Hale, which is coached by former Portland TrailBlazer Brandon Roy, and will be home-schooled by his family.
Porter was one of two underclassmen named to the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Boys Basketball Teams last season.
In a fall league game this week, the Washington commit went off for 39 points, including some spectacular dunks. He also had 14 rebounds and five assists.
