A 68-46 football game requires sensational performances from offensive players. Dalton Ferrell was simply remarkable in the win for Paducah (Ky.) Tilghman, as the quarterback threw for 622 yards (third all-time in Kentucky high school football) and four touchdowns.

Below are the rest of the top performances as fall sports continue around the nation
Andrew Cross, boys soccer, Memorial (Ind.)
Cross proved to be the difference in a 2-1 win over Chesterton. The goalscorer scored both goals as Memorial won the Class 2A state championship. Cross was consistently excellent all season, as he scored 32 goals and had 20 assists.
Julia Heymach, girls track and field, Lamar (Texas)
Heymach was sensational as she won the Class 6A Region II meet with a time of 17:54:50—a solid two minutes ahead of the rest of the field.

Alina Faunce, swimming, Estero (Fla.)
Faunce, a University of Alabama commit, anchored Estero wins in the 200 medley and 400 free relays. Faunce was excellent in her individual races as well, breaking school records in the 200 IM (2:003.6) and 100 butterfly (55.75) in a meet last week.
Dakota Bridwell, football, Columbia Falls (Mont.)
No Class A athlete in Montana has ever thrown eight touchdown passes in a game prior to the show Bridwell put on for Columbia falls. The quarterback threw for 371 yards and Columbia Falls beat Corvallis, 55-14.
Sammy Watson, girls track and field, Rush-Henrietta (N.Y.)
Watson, a senior, is regarded as one of the fastest 800-meter sprinters in the country, and she reminded everyone of how excellent she can be with a first-place finish at the Burnt Hills Cross Country Invitational. Watson has won four of six Monroe County league meets this season, and she finished second the two times she didn’t win.
Dontavious Marcus, football, Titusville (Fla.)
Titusville defeated Space Coast 48-3 and Marcus led the way. The running back carried the ball 22 times for 268 yards and three touchdowns, scoring on runs of 53, 66 and 18 yards.
Molly Born, girls track and field, Shawnee Mission Northwest (Kan.)
Born, a junior, won her second consecutive Kansas Class 6A state championship at the Rim Rock Farm course with a time of 17:32.70, a good 30 seconds better than the rest of the field.
Nick Ah Sam, football, Springfield (Ore.)
Springfield lost to Thurston in heartbreaking fashion (39-36), but Ah Sam did all he could to keep his team in the game. The dual-threat quarterback ran the ball 44 times for 271 yards and four touchdowns, and added 175 yards passing.
Katherine Potter, girls volleyball, University (Colo.)
University, a class 3A school, beat three 5A schools in a tournament last week and Potter helped them go 4-1. The senior outside hitter had 56 kills, 10 aces and 47 digs. The captain was named to the all-tournament team.
