2016-17 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Girls Soccer Teams

The 2016-17 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Girls Soccer Teams were selected based on performance, level of competition and strength of schedule. Players from states that play fall, winter or spring soccer were eligible for selection.

California leads the selections with six selections, including ALL-USA Player of the Year Kennedy Wesley from Valley Christian (Cerritos). Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Washington each have two picks, while Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Utah all have one.

School: Glastonbury (Conn.) Position: Defender Year: Senior Height: 5-5 College: Seton Hall Noteworthy: Brinckman led a defense that allowed just six goals during a perfect 20-0 season that ended with the Tomahawks’ third straight Class LL state title. School: JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) Position: Forward Year: Sophomore Height: 5-7 College: Santa Clara Noteworthy: D’Aquila led the Lions to a 23-1-2 record and titles at both the California Southern Section Division 1 and Southern California Division I Regional tournaments. School: Bellevue (Wash.) Position: Midfielder/Forward Year: Senior Height: 5-5 College: Stanford Noteworthy: Harber scored the lone goal in the state semifinals and final as the Wolverines (19-0-2) claimed the Washington Class 3A state championship. Harber scored 12 goals and passed for five assists, despite missing four games while participating in the Women’s International Cup in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with the U.S. Soccer Under-18 Women’s National Team. School: Huntington Beach (Calif.) Position: Goalie Year: Senior Height: 5-7 College: Arkansas Noteworthy: Harris had a busy season in goal for the Oilers. She earned 14 shutouts and made 132 saves as Huntington Beach finished the year 22-9-4, losing in both the California Southern Section Division 1 and Southern California Division I Regional championship games. School: Collins Hill (Suwanee, Ga.) Position: Forward/Midfielder Year: Junior Height: 5-2 College: North Carolina Noteworthy: Jones scored 41 goals and passed for 11 assists for the Eagles (15-5-1), who reached the Georgia Class AAAAAAA state quarterfinals. Jones produced those numbers despite missing eight games because of commitments to the U.S. Soccer Under-17 and Under-18 Women’s National Teams. Photo: Gwinnett Daily Post

Kristina Lynch School: Penn (Mishawaka, Ind.) Position: Forward Year: Junior Height: 5-8 College: Florida State Noteworthy: Lynch was unstoppable in the postseason, tallying 12 goals and 13 assists in the Kingsmen’s seven-game run to the Indiana Class 2A state title, including one of each in a 2-0 win over against Brebeuf Jesuit (Indianapolis) in the championship game. School: Brebeuf Jesuit (Indianapolis) Position: Midfielder Year: Senior Height: 5-10 College: Michigan Noteworthy: Making her second appearance on the ALL-USA team, Martin finished the year with 14 goals and 23 assists as the Braves (22-2-1) reached the Indiana Class 2A state title game. School: Sierra Canyon School (Chatsworth, Calif.) Position: Defender/Midfielder Year: Senior Height: 5-8 College: Duke Noteworthy: Mitchell was the key offensive and defensive player for the Trailblazers (22-2-2), who won the California Southern Section Division 4 title as well as the Southern California Division IV Regional crown.
